FAQ > Nail Conditions > What is involved in proper foot care?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

  • Do not soak your feet for too long
  • Do not powder between the toes
  • Use cream regularly – (this can be prescribed by your GP)
  • Do not prick blisters
  • Do not sit in front of the heater/fire
  • Do not cut corns/callus yourself – see a Podiatrist
  • Do not use ‘corn pads’ on your feet – this can lead to ulcers and skin problems
  • Trim your nails straight across
  • File and ‘round off’ the corners of your nails
  • Make sure your shoes and socks are clean
  • Check your feet every day
